I've notice my Sienna Glen Maple out in the front yard has lots of yellow leaves and some have fallen. It's that time of year again. School has started again and the kids are grumpy about waking up so early.

All in all its been a grand summer, lots of sunshine and very little rain. In fact we could of done with a whole lot  more rain!

I look forward to the warm days still ahead the the cool nights that make it so much easier to sleep. Getting back into a schedule is nice too. Soon it will be time for turkeys and warm pumpkin pies...mmmm . I can almost smell that turkey in the oven can't you!!!

Oh yes, it will be turkey and just about anything for awhile....ending with a lot of cold turkey sandwiches which are my all time favourite...seems to get moister and more flavorful the colder it gets somehow.

Yes, the rain was most welcome in these parts ....we needed that!!!

LOL. Almost... Have you got any favourite cookbooks with great turkey recipes in them, Kathy?

Re. rain... Very glad we got some last night and yesterday! We had a fire from a downed hydro line in our yard this morning - very frightening so close to the house! All's well, though.
